Whiskey lake U series processor leaks online!
The first look of the Intel’s 8th generation Whiskey Lake-U processors that have leaked out.
The successors of mobile phone processors which will succeed Kaby Lake-R is to be based on
the 14nm++ process and reveals improved clock speeds while retaining the same features
as Kaby Lake series.
Intel Whiskey Lake-U Processors , they Revealed – Core i5-8265U and Core i7-8565U
, 15W Designs and Up To 4.5 GHz Clocks
The processors were showed by Tum Apisak, on his twitter
account, a few days ago. The CPUs include the Core i5-8265U (succeeding the Core i5-8250U)
and the Core i7-8565U (succeeding the Core i7-8550U) . Both of these chips are develop on
tbe basis of 14nm++ process node and have the same feature as same Kaby Lake design that
is found on the earlier Kaby Lake-R chips for mobility platforms. The anomally is that
Intel managed to increase a bit more clock speeds out of these chips due to a power
management changes and further optimized design process otherwise, you cannot see
a big difference among the underneath specs on both groups.
There’s also the Intel UHD 620 graphics
chip which will be added alongside the processor with a clock rate around 1150 MHz.

Intel Core i7-8656U
The main part , 8 thread part and the Core i7-8565U is a
4 core which comes with 8 MB of L3 cache, in a 15W package. The chip has featured
with a clock speed of 1.8 GHz base and 4.5 GHz boost. They said that they are looking
at a 500 MHz bump in the boost clocks compared to the earlier version while
retaining the same band frequency.
