Apart from the notches, some manufacturers also getting serious on the gaming smartphone train this year. One of them was Nubia with its Red Magic gaming smartphone.
The Nubia Red Magic has a great design and packs impressive and powerful specs save by using last year’s Snapdragon 835 processor instead of the latest and greatest Snapdragon 845. The older SoC means it cannot match the performance of gritty Snap 845 powering other gaming smartphones such as Xiaomi‘s Black Shark and ASUS‘ ROG gaming phone.
If the older Soc is what’s putting you off from buying it, then you may be happy to learn that Nubia has started working on a successor which we will call as the Red Magic 2. The information comes from Roland Quandt. The Red Magic has a massive 6.0-inch 1080 x 2160 with a screen with an aspect ratio 18:9. It comes powered with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The back is made of aluminum sheet and has an RGB LED strip. Because if it had to be gaming it had to be RGB. There is a single 24MP SHOOTER on the rear and an 8MP front-facing shooter above the display. It has a smart amplifier and DTS audio to provide a better audio experience. There is a massive 3,800mAh battery under the hood with support for the fast charge to enable the phone last a full day of Gaming. It also has a new air convection cooling system to keep the device cool and your gaming running smoothly.
The phone will be selling around for €449 (~$522) when it goes on sale later this month in Europe.
