Huawei’s Mate 20 Lite is the first new handset available in the series to become official. It’s already up for the pre-order in countries like Poland and Germany, as we told you earlier today. It’s no coincidence that the phone was being introduced to the world in Poland, because the Mate 10 Lite which is being used to be the best of selling Huawei smartphone in the given country.
The company may is clearly hoping that the new existing model may will beat its predecessor’s sales required numbers. A couple of Polish websites which have already released a detailed hands-on impressions of the Mate 20 Lite version.
The device which comes with a 158.3 x 75.3 x 7.6 mm footprint, and weighs around 172g. Its 6.3-inch LCD touchscreen display which has 1080×2340 resolution (boasting 19.5:9 aspect ratio and 81% screen-to-body ratio) and, unsurprisingly, with a notch. The phone is being powered by Huawei’s Kirin 710 SoC, added by 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable type storage.It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with available EMUI 8.2 on the top. That’s the absolute latest available version of Huawei’s UI outlay, and which comes up with the support for GPU Turbo. Dual-band Wi-Fi may being available in, as well as NFC, GPS, GLONASS, and Bluetooth 4.2.
There are four types of cameras on the Mate 20 Lite. Additionally, you can see HDR mode doing by its magic in real-time, through the camera’s viewfinder.
The AR lens made 3D elements and Qmoji are well accounted for as well, mimicking your face. The implementation seems to be pretty nice .
The 3,750 mAh battery paired with the efficient chipset built on a 12nm process should provide a decent battery life. To fill the cell up you get an 18W USB-C charger which does it quickly enough.
The Mate 20 Lite has glass back, which reflects light in different ways but manages to catch fingerprints. A 3.5mm headset jack is satisfyingly there and accounted for.
The phone is starts at PLN 1,599 ($437 or €374) and will be on pre-order until September 9. You’ll find it in stores in Poland from September 10, in black, blue, and gold colour variants.
